How I understand the moment in time, how it relates to the mind and body and what one can do:

 

Vanity fair article on Trump

 

Gabriel Sherman’s November 1, 2017 article about Trump and his administration begins with:

 

Until now, Robert Mueller has haunted Donald Trump’sWhite House as a hovering, mostly unseen menace. But by securing indictments of Paul Manafort and Rick Gates,and a surprise guilty plea from foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos, Mueller announced loudly that the Russia investigation poses an existential threat to the president. “Here’s what Manafort’s indictment tells me: Mueller is going to go over every financial dealing of Jared Kushner and the Trump Organization,” said former Trump campaign aide Sam Nunberg. “Trump is at 33 percent in Gallup. You can’t go any lower. He’s fucked.”

 

I’m afraid I have to concur with the sentiment expressed at the end of this first paragraph. If the so called logical signs are ominous, the astrological panorama is anything from threatening to disastrous. And so I say in this video…..

Saturn

 

A very important force in the planetary array, this planet is often the most important natal point,  and the cycles of Saturn are extremely important toward understanding how to best align oneself with our life circumstances. Connections to timekeeping, accountability, success or failure, getting things done, wisdom from experience and still much more–associate to this planet,  so understanding how it works and learning to express it well-becomes critical if one hopes to do well in life.

Trump’s Halloween 2017

 

Halloween 2017 is the start of a difficult period that will last until the spring of 2018. The first week or so will be particularly interesting as this video explains:

So much can be said in the area of nutrition. Simple to complex descriptions of foods, food components, supplements, herbs, special diets, fasting, schedules, portions etc.

 

And yet it is amazing to consider that the simple notion of chewing one’s food thoroughly and completely- to a point as close to liquid as possible, may be the single most important practice. In fact, I would say that if you are thinking about making changes and improvements to your nourishment habits, consider making this your first change.

 

Digestion is one of the most energy demanding body processes and if you eat quickly without thorough mastication the energy demand increases, sometimes dramatically. This leads to feeling foggy and even sleepy afterwards.

 

Chewing food as close to a liquid as possible maximizes digestive efficiency. It also reduces the chance you’ll eat too much because you’re giving your body a chance to “catch up” and let you know when you’ve had enough. You are more likely to remain comfortable and awake which will make your relationship to the moment in time easier.

 

When looking through this website you’ll get the sense that many practices involve “working the moment” or “working in the moment”. This is true,  but it’s the kind of work that is greatly assisted and enhanced by basic body vitality, the energy and clarity you feel in your nervous system when your “head” feels clear. If you want this clarity, make sure you don’t overburden your stomach or you’ll feel foggy and uncomfortable. Then, this moment will still be this moment but you will not be at your best and this will make relating to this moment more difficult.

 

So, chew your food as thoroughly as possible. A simple practice with a lot of impact. A really valuable habit. An invaluable skill.
